Nightdive Studios has announced their acclaimed System Shock Remake is making the jump to consoles this May!
While PC games have been able to enjoy the System Shock Remake for a while now, console gamers will soon get their chance. Today, Nightdive Studios announced a May release date for the console versions of the iconic Sci-Fi shooter.
Nightdive Studios’ stunningly faithful recreation of the classic shooter/immersive sim was released to critical acclaim in 2023 for PC. Soon, console players will go toe-to-toe with SHODAN — the original rogue AI with evil intent — on PlayStation 4|5 and Xbox One and Series X|S as they explore the dark depths of Citadel Station and singlehandedly try and save Earth from destruction.
The System Shock remake combines the gameplay of the original title with all-new HD visuals, updated controls, an overhauled interface, and all-new sounds and music. The console release features numerous improvements and the addition of a revised ending and optional female hacker protagonist.
System Shock Key Features:
Unravel the chilling story of SHODAN’s rise and explore the mysteries of Citadel Station, piecing together the truth in this atmospheric sci-fi world
Face perilous traps, puzzles, and a legion of hostile and mutated creatures — created and controlled by the delightfully villainous SHODAN herself
Up to 4K 60FPS visuals on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X
The console release features a newly reworked ending that upgrades the final confrontation with SHODAN!
Choose between a male or female-presenting Hacker protagonist
Redesigned controls to support PlayStation and Xbox gamepads
System Shock Remake hits PlayStation 4|5 and Xbox Consoles on May 21, 2024 (only PS5 and Series X are getting physical editions).
