Sons of The Forest, the follow up to one of the best survival games The Forest, has released to a massive audience on Steam Early Access.
24 hours after releasing on Steams Early Access page, Sons of the Forest has surpassed 2 million sales. The developer confirmed the achievement on Twitter, and also confirmed “excited things are coming soon!”
It’s also worth noting that concurrent player count is also rising with overall sales too. The game had a peak of 305k concurrent players earlier, and average around 250k, making it the 3rd most popular title on Steam. By comparison the peak numbers of the original game are around 75k players.
Sons of the Forest is a follow up title that sets players in a remote area to build shelter and survive against monsters. The original game was a huge success in terms of creating an amazing co-op survival title, and the follow up seems to push everything further. We will have a full review here soon, so stick around!
