Last summer, ATLUS revealed that 2021 would see two Shin Megami Tensei games make their way on to player’s hands. Shin Megami Tensei V, an entirely new entry into the series, and Shin Megami Tensei III Nocturne HD Remaster. While V has yet to have an official release date, the HD remaster got one today.
So far in 2021, JRPG fans have been eating well. With games like Atelier Ryza 2, Bravely Default II, and Persona 5 Strikers releasing, we’ve had to a lot to be thankful for. In two months, ATLUS will have another JRPG for us to sink our teeth into. This time, with the HD Remaster for Shin Megami Tensei III Nocturne.
Today, ATLUS director Kazuyuki Yamai released a video from the official ATLUS twitter account, revealing that Shin Megami Tensei III Nocturne HD Remaster will officially release on May 25, 2021.

If you didn’t get a chance to play the game when it released in 2003, the official synopsis of the game is as follows:
What begins as a normal day in Tokyo turns out to be everything but, when the Conception – an ethereal apocalypse – is invoked. Caught between a battle of Gods and demons, the choices you make can bring life, rebirth, or death, and determine who triumphs.
The HD Remaster will include the following features that weren’t present when the original released 17 years ago. Features like:
- Remastered 3D models and backgrounds
- Additional difficulty settings for players of all skill levels
- Suspend save — save your progress whenever you need!
- Voiced audio — choose between Japanese and English VO
