IGN is reporting the annual EA Play Live is not happening this year.
Instead of holding a livestream during (or around) E3 in June as they have done in years past, EA will drop details on new projects “when the time is right.”
“We love EA Play Live as it’s our way of connecting with our players and sharing what’s new with all of you,” an EA representative reportedly told IGN in a statement today. “However, this year things aren’t lining up to show you everything on one date. We have exciting things happening at our world-class studios and this year we’ll reveal much more about these projects when the time is right for each of them. We look forward to spending time with you throughout the year!”
We know that EA has a number of franchises expecting new or remastered titles include a new Dragon Age, a new Mass Effect, the Dead Space remake along with the annual sports game releases. Does this mean we will see them during Summer Games Fest instead? We’ll just have to see.
