Sony hasn’t been too shy about pricing their new gadgets. First a $200 new controller, and now a pretty big price tag on the new PSVR.
Sony finally revealed the pre-order details for PSVR2 today on the PlayStation Blog. The PSVR2 will release February 22, 2023 for $549.99. For those paying attention, yes the PSVR2 costs more than the PS5 which is also needed to run it, so in total you are spending just over $1k.
There will also be a bundle with the new Horizon VR experience which comes with a digital voucher to get the game, this bundle comes in at $599. Both bundles come with the headset, two motion controllers, and stereo headphones.
Sold separate is a charging station for the controllers which will release the same day for $49.99.
Pre-orders will start on November 15th exclusively on the Direct PlayStation site. As noted on the PlayStation Blog, players in the U.S., U.K., France, Germany, Belgium, Netherlands and Luxembourg will only be able to pre-order on the site. You can register for a pre-order spot today.
