Palworld continues to break records as new updates are heading to Xbox to help bridge the gap with PC.
Palworld developers announced that the game has surpassed 19 million players since releasing on January 19th. 12 million of those players are early access buyers on Steam. The other 7 million players are via the Xbox network which includes Xbox, GamePass, and Windows store.
Microsoft also announced that Palworld is the largest 3rd party GamePass launch title, while also surpassing Fortnite in concurrent players on Xbox. Palworld developers announced they had upwards of 3 million daily active users on multiple days.
On Steam Palworld met 2 million concurrent players, second only to PUBG which had seen 3.2 million concurrent players.
As for updates, Microsoft has announced they will work alongside the developers for faster updates on GamePass to get the game in line with the PC counterpart. Dedicated servers for Xbox will also be enabled soon. Additionally Microsoft is lending Engineering Resources to help the developers work better with GPU optimization and memory.
This isn’t the first time Microsoft has stepped in to assist on a rather surprising successful title, as they also helped bring Baldurs Gate 3 to Xbox.
