This afternoon brings the announcement of Terminator: Dark Fate – Defiance, a new real-time strategy game set to launch in 2022.
When you think Terminator video games, you typically think about shooters and such. It’s cool, but those generally aren’t my thing, so imagine my whiplash when I got an email about a new Terminator game that’s in the RTS genre. Sign me the hell up!
Terminator: Dark Fate was criminally underrated and getting a new game set within that timeline of events is pretty damn cool. Also, RTS feels like the perfect genre for the franchise (considering it’s about all out war between humans and machines) and I can’t believe it’s taken this long for it to finally happen.
Today, Slitherine and Skydance Media announced the development of Terminator: Dark Fate – Defiance, a new real-time strategy game set within the reinvented franchise. The game follows the war between humanity and Legion’s synthetic intelligent machine network. In the single-player campaign, players take the role of a commander in the Founders faction and guide their army to foil Legion’s plan to destroy humanity. In skirmish and multiplayer modes, three very diverse factions are available: Founders, Legion and Resistance.
Terminator: Dark Fate – Defiance is set to hit PCs in 2022.
