During the Day of Devs summer show, new indie title Simpler Times made a new reveal.
You can wishlist the game on Steam right now, but it was noted that the game will be coming to “other platforms” as well.
In Simpler Times, you step into the shoes of Taina as she prepares to move out of her childhood home and begin the next chapter of her life. Relive her memories and learn how she grew into the creative, expressive person she has become. This is a contemplative, cozy experience. There is no score, no timer, no combat, no failing, and no anxiety. Just vibes.
The trailer is a really creative artistic look as a character is packing up items to move out. Personally I found the trailer extremely interesting and well done, so I had to share it here. Hopefully PS5 is one of the “other platforms” it will be coming to, currently it is not on the PlayStation Store to wishlist.
The game takes place over 10 years, with 4 segments of memories. Each segment will be introduced with a new season, which all look unique and interesting. Gameplay wise you will be exploring notes and puzzles to unlock new memories. There are other features too which allow you to listen to music, paint pictures, or simply watch nature. The gameplay is stated to be a “play at your own pace” adventure.
The game is developed by Stoneskip and published by iam8Bit.
