New Ghostwire: Tokyo Trailer Revealed, Game Set to Release Spring of 2022

Today, Bethesda and Playstation showcased their upcoming timed exclusive Ghostwire: Toky. From what the trailer shows us, you will have to face off again horrifying supernatural enemies as you work to save a loved one.

This first-person experience looks very different from anything we have played in some time, mixing the supernatural horror we know and love from Tango GameWorks, but also the first-person experience we usually get from other Bethesda titles! The population of Tokyo has up and vanished, you must use your newly acquired powers to take down the ghostly forces and find out what has truly happened to all the people of Tokyo.

The game is set to release in Spring of 2022, so at this time we can believe that the game will be staying on Playstation up until roughly 2024. Until then, make sure to check back here for more news on the game and all things gaming!

Hannya has unleashed a catastrophic fog upon Tokyo that wipes out most of its population. In the aftermath, he leads the Faceless, a menacing group of loyal zealots who bend to his will. Where smiling citizens once walked now stands an army of one-of-a-kind creatures only Tango Gameworks can create: The Visitors.

Inspired by Japanese legends, folklore, and tales, The Visitors are striking, imaginative enemies that lurk throughout Tokyo. Many characters are from famed dark stories like “Kuchisake-onna,” characters that stay true to Tango’s desire to honor Tokyo through an authentic, never-before-seen game world.

Awakening in the famed Shibuya Crossing, Akito finds himself partially possessed by a strange spirit and surrounded by the dangerous creatures invading Tokyo. Desperate to ensure the safety of his sister, Akito must ally with the spirit and master powerful abilities to battle his way through Tokyo’s dangerous streets.
