New gameplay features and a release date have been revealed at Gamescom for The Dark Pictures Anthology: The Devil in Me.

At the ongoing Gamescom event, a new trailer was released for The Dark Pictures Anthology: The Devil in Me, a game which will serve as the ‘season one finale’ for the anthology. Along with revealing new gameplay features that have been created for this entry, the trailer also revealed that The Devil in Me will be releasing on November 18, 2022.

As previously revealed, the story sees a documentary film crew trapped in a recreation of H.H. Holmes ‘murder castle’ and they’ll have to go through some pretty twisted scenarios to try and get out alive.

See for yourself in the new trailer below:

THE DARK PICTURES ANTHOLOGY: THE DEVIL IN ME introduces to the series new gameplay features designed to enhance player immersion and reward exploration. Players can now interact with the world around them by manipulating objects, and running, jumping or climbing to get to hard-to-reach areas. Also new is the inventory system which provides each character with useful tools such as a microphone, camera, and camera flash, along with other objects that can be used to save a life… or take a life.

THE DARK PICTURES ANTHOLOGY: THE DEVIL IN ME delivers over seven hours of gameplay with a mix of action and puzzle solving, where players can explore, escape, untangle mysteries, or find themselves tangled where failure may prove to be costly. The game also sees the return of co-op multiplayer. Players can try to escape this nightmare alone or seek safety in numbers with friends, whether playing online or locally in couch co-op mode.

This definitely looks like the most spine-chilling entry in The Dark Pictures Anthology yet, will you be picking it up this November?
