Since it’s announcement back in 2019, LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga has been one of the most highly-anticipated games in Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment‘s video game lineup. However, it doesn’t appear that LEGO and Star Wars fans are any closer to playing it.
Today, developer TT Games released a statement announcing that LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga wouldn’t be able to make its Spring 2021 release date. Thus, pushing it back to a currently yet-to-be-announced launch window.
This is the second time LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga has been hit with a delay. When it was first announced in 2019, the game was set to launch in October of 2020. Then, it was pushed back to Spring of 2021. Now, we don’t know when we’ll be able to relive the entire Skywalker Saga in lovable LEGO form.
It’s a bittersweet pill to swallow, for sure. On the one hand, players should want studios to take their time with a comprehensive game like this to realize their vision exactly as they imagined it. Hopefully, with little to no crunch. On the other hand, it’s a bummer that we’ll have to wait an even longer time to relive this galaxy far, far away.
As soon as the launch window is announced for LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga, we’ll have it here on Cinelinx.
