Today is Rune Factory‘s 15th anniversary and XSEED Games celebrated with a retrospective on the franchise’s history.
On August 24, 2006, XSEED Games launched the Story of Seasons (formerly Harvest Moon) spin-off series that integrated RPG mechanics into farming simulation.
The official Rune Factory NA Twitter Account began tweeting today, so hopefully that bodes well for news on the Western localization of the game.

The anniversary comes on the heels of the Japanese launch of Rune Factory 5 on the Nintendo Switch earlier this year. The game will release worldwide early next year.
