Halo Infinite has seen a fair number of delays since it was announced at E3 2018 and today 343 Industries and Microsoft announced the release date has moved to Fall 2021.
Joseph Staten, former head writer/cinematic lead/creative director at Bungie over the classic titles in the series, said in a blog post that he was brought onto the project at 343 Industries “as the team was wrestling with feedback from the July campaign demo.” He is serving as the project lead for the game’s campaign.
“This discussion boiled down to one fundamental truth: we needed more time to do things right. That included pushing hard in the Fall, giving the team time to recharge over the Holidays, and then coming back in January to finish the game at a healthy pace,” Staten said. “Because Halo Infinite in the Fall of 2021… is just the beginning of the adventure.”
Developers delved further into news related to a variety of aspects of Halo Infinite including art and graphics, online services, and armor customization.
