GTA Trilogy Announced, Price Potentially Leaked

Rockstar has announced Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy — The Definitive Edition, which will include Grand Theft Auto III, Grand Theft Auto: Vice City, and Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas.

Rockstar noted the games will include “across-the-board upgrades including graphical improvements and modern gameplay enhancements.” What exactly this includes will be detailed in the coming weeks when further details are announced. It was also pointed out that while Rockstar is modernizing the core mechanics, the “looks and feel” of the games will remain the same.

Rockstar also noted that the current releases of the games will be all removed from digital stores this week, so this is your last time to pick them up if you want them untouched.

It also appears the pricing of the trilogy has leaked online too. According to a Twitter post, the price is coming in at around $70 for the trilogy. The games also will not include a smart delivery service, meaning you will have to purchase them seperately for each platform (or in some type of bundle) to play cross generation (PS4 > PS5 for example). As of now the pricing is not confirmed, so we should hear more about that during the later date.

The trilogy is set to release across all platforms for Xbox, PlayStation, and Switch, alongside a mobile release for iOS and Android.

The release also goes alongside the 20th anniversary of GTA III, and Rockstar also noted that GTA Online will be celebrating with some “unusual activity” and some new cloths and items to pick up. 20 years make a lot of us feel a bit old, but that happens when we’ve spent 8 years in GTAV.
