EA just shocked the gaming community by not only announcing they have a new studio but also announcing the first title they will be releasing will be based on Marvel’s Black Panther! EA’s new triple-A development studio is called Cliffhanger Games and is made up of former devs that worked on titles like Call of Duty, God of War, Halo Infinite, Middle Earth: Shadows of Mordor, and more!
Cliffhanger Games is developing a new Black Panther video game that offers players an immersive third-person action-adventure experience set in the world of Wakanda. Players can embody the iconic Marvel hero, Black Panther, and explore his abilities. The game and studio is being led by Kevin Stephens, who shared his thoughts on the project.
“We’re dedicated to delivering fans a definitive and authentic Black Panther experience, giving them more agency and control over their narrative than they have ever experienced in a story-driven video game. Wakanda is a rich Super Hero sandbox, and our mission is to develop an epic world for players who love Black Panther and want to explore the world of Wakanda as much as we do,”
