You want to shoot zombies in Dying Light 2? You might be in luck.
Dying Light 2 is celebrating 2 years on the market with a massive new Firearms update, along with a new Reloaded Edition.
The Reloaded Edition includes the games first story expansion, Bloody Ties, and the new firearm update. New users will be able to buy the edition right away, and all current players will be upgraded for free.
Starting today, Dying Light 2 is free for the weekend on Steam until Monday. At the same time, fans can celebrate the anniversary event through March 6th with in-game bounties and events happening now.
The firearms update is one of the largest updates to the game and is part of the 5 year commitment by the team. One of the biggest new features is the ability to now shoot zombies with firearms, but the team notes that these are still seen as enhancements and won’t be altering the core gameplay.
The Firearms Update is the biggest content update the game has seen so far. The possibility of being able to shoot enemies has been much-requested by the community, and adds a brand new dimension to the beloved zombie game. It is important to note that firearms are an enhancement rather than a complete change of genre – they open new possibilities without altering the game’s DNA.
There are also many other excellent additions included in the update, such as co-op survivor missions, board quests, and various notable visual enhancements. The narrative itself gets enriched with the return of some scene-stealing characters from the first Dying Light game.
