On top of showcasing new Switch exclusives, Nintendo also revealed several more popular games are getting ported to the console as well.
More big video game ports coming to the Nintendo Switch? File this under stuff we absolutely love to see. I love gaming on the go, and it’s quick access is the main reason it’s so much easier for me to play bigger games on the console. As such, I’m excited to see even more great games I’ve wanted to play are coming to the console.
During their E3 Direct Presentation, Nintendo revealed a handful of upcoming ports for players to get excited about.
Life is Strange Remastered and Life is Strange: True Colors are both coming to the console, giving Switch owners the chance to play through these impressive games. True Colors will launch the same day as all the other consoles, September 10th with the Remastered Collection coming later on.
Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot, a game I’ve been dying to play but haven’t been able to carve out the time for (I know, I know) is finally coming to the Nintendo Switch. Even better, it will include the A New Power Awakens DLC that explores story elements from the Super series. No word on if the newly released Trunks DLC will come with it as well. Either way, it’s coming to the Switch on September 24th.
Guardians of the Galaxy, the action/RPG that absolutely stole the show during Square Enix’s presentation is also launching for the Nintendo Switch. To be honest, this one really took me by surprise, mostly because it’s so damn good looking and set to launch alongside all the other versions (on October 26th). But that’s the benefit of being able to run the games through the Cloud.
It’s not E3 without Just Dance 2022 and the latest game is also launching on the Nintendo Switch on November 4th.
Fatal Frame: Maiden of Black Water originally released on the Wii U back in 2015, but if you missed out on the horror game back then, you’ll get the chance to poop your pants on the Nintendo Switch. No release date yet, but it’s slated to arrive this year.
Two Point Campus was also recently announced during Summer Game Fest as a “sequel” to the Two Point Hospital game, despite focusing on entirely different things. Management Sims on the Switch are a lot of fun (despite some cramped controls at times), so I’m happy to see this getting a port.
The DLC for DOOM Eternal is finally making its way to the Nintendo Switch, allowing you the chance to battle the newest demons on the go. DOOM Eternal The Ancient Gods – Part 1 is available later TODAY. No word on Part 2, but I imagine it’s not too far down the road.
There’s a lot of great games coming to the Switch and I’m so excited to see this console continue to get the love/ports from studios. Which of these ports are you looking to pick up on the Switch?
