Destiny 2’s Festival of the Lost is Back with Mech-Themed Cosmetics and Spooky New Challenges

Halloween is fast approaching. So that means that it’s time for Destiny 2‘s annual Halloween-themed event, Festival of the Lost. The free event is back and allows players to channel their inner Gundam mech. Plus, get their hands on the Legendary Sniper Rifle Mechabre.

Similar to that of the Solstice event earlier this year, the Festival of the Lost event will allow players to use Event Cards to earn new cosmetic items such as a new emote, ship, Exotic Ghost, and more.

Those new cosmetic items will be the Mech-themed armor chosen by the community. For the last few Festivals, Bungie has provided players with a poll to vote on which unique cosmetics they’d like to sport during the season and beyond. This year #TeamMech won, much to every Gundam/Voltron fan.

Destiny 2’s Festival of the Lost will also see the return of Haunted Sectors, which will see players take on terrifying enemies known as “The Headless Ones”. These challenging enemies will try to cheat players out of their treats.

By competing in the events and earning the Bookworm 1 Triumph (by unlocking 1/3 of the pages for Book of the Forgotten) the Headless One T-Shirt will unlock at the Destiny 2 store. Players can also earn the Ghost Writer Collectible Medallion Pin by unlocking the triumph associated with it. Last day to earn both is November 8.

The Festival of the Lost is going on now until November 8, 2022.
