Opening Night Live at gamescom 2022 ended with the long awaited re-reveal of Dead Island 2, including an official release date.
The wait for Dead Island 2 has been long. So long in fact that players managed to get Dying Light AND Dying Light 2 since the game was originally announced. It’s been stuck in development hell for a while, and even went under a complete revamp from what it was initially planned to be.
Last week, an Amazon listing accidentally revealed the game was coming this February, and many of us assumed that meant we’d be seeing it at gamescom. That turned out to be exactly the case!
You are bitten, infected, but immune and stronger for it. It’s a fun cinematic trailer and seems to set the tone just right for what this game is going to be. Fortunately, that’s not all we got, however, as they also revealed a gameplay trailer for Dead Island 2, showcasing the action that’s in store for players this time.
