Celebrate the Ostara Festival in ‘Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla’ Today; ‘Wrath of the Druids’ Expansion Set for April

The second season of Ubisoft‘s epic Viking game Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla is currently underway. Ostara Season has already provided players with new narrative content and loads of new quests and gear to use on their journey. Today, Ubisoft has added even more with the Ostara Festival.

The Ostara Festival runs from now until April 8. So long as you’ve completed either Grantebridgescire or Ledecestrescire story arcs, you can take part in the festivities. However, your settlement needs to be Level 3 to access the May-Queen activity. Nevertheless, players can expect the following Easter-themed activities during the Ostara Festival:

  • Settlement decoration activity
  • Drinking, Archery, and Fighting mini-games
  • Three new character quests: Eivor can enjoy an Egg Hunt, the May-Queen celebration, and protect the settlement against night spirits
  • Three new skills: Fearless Leaper lets Eivor land a mastered falling attack atop enemies, while the Raven’s Loot and Loot Food skills increase Eivor’s efficiency when at range or fighting close-up
  • Exclusive rewards including settlement decorations and customization items

Also included in the free season update is the ability to change Eivor’s appearance. Ubisoft has added a customization tool to change weapons and armor appearances without changing stats. Unfortunately, it costs silver to do, which isn’t great. In this day and age of gaming, we shouldn’t ever have to pay for shaders. In any case, to change Eivor’s appearance, players can visit the Blacksmith in Ravensthorpe.

In addition to the Ostara Festival‘s arrival, Ubisoft announced that Wrath of the Druids, the Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla expansion, is set to release on April 29, 2021. In Wrath of the Druids players will journey to Ireland and unravel the mysteries of an ancient and mysterious druidic cult, tracking and discovering their members. Diving into Gaelic myths and folklores, they’ll need to fight their way through haunted forests and dazzling landscapes while gaining influence among Gaelic kings.

Wrath of the Druids can be purchased by itself for $24.99 or players can purchase the Season Pass to gain access to every new piece of content coming to Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla for $39.99. If you have Assassin’s Creed Valhalla Gold, Ultimate, or Collector Editions already, then you’re covered.
