Ubisoft announced this week the next major expansion for Assassin’s Creed Valhalla is set to siege consoles in a few short weeks.
Seige of Paris will launch on August 12 and Season 3, AKA the Sigrblot Season, kicks off today.
The next season will feature the addition of one-handed weapons to the game as well as new activities, new rewards and cosmetics.
Players can participate in the Sigrblot Festival starting Thursday through August 19. To join in on the fun, developers said players must reach England, complete one of the first two narrative arcs in Grantebridgescire or Ledecestrescire and be at least Settlement Level 2.
Players that log in during the festival will get 50 opals and can participate in one of three activities to enjoy alongside War Games and Fight or Flyte. Redeem new settlement decorations, customization items and weapons with your winnings.
“In Test Your Metal, players can hone their skills using a variety of weapons in brawl-like matches. Equip armor and rations of your choice to fight alongside your Jomsviking in this friendly tournament. The choice of weaponry is limited, but up to you: dual daggers, dual shields, or the one-handed sword!
Orlog! In War Games, Alwin brings his Orlog set to challenge Eivor during the festivities, so gather your gods.
Fancy yourself a flyter? Hold a battle of wits with Ake in Fight or Flyte and double your bet with festival tokens. Test your might and see how you do!”
There are three new quests available to participate in during the Sigrblot Festival.
“Help Eivor and the Raven Clan prepare for upcoming raids and for the war with Francia. For safe and bountiful journeys for your clan, select offerings to the gods like Thor, Freyja, or Baldr. Help Braun prepare for the Sigrblot Festival’s sacrifice in The Three Big Pigs, where he’ll let you in on his plight. Contribute to The War Effort by completing festival activities and quests and by gathering supplies for The Siege of Paris.”
The soundtrack for the Seige of Paris will launch alongside the expansion on August 12. Developers dropped a single yesterday:
Seige of Paris will launch close to the end of the festival, bringing a mounting of new content with it. In addition to questlines, players will see the return of Infiltration Missions and Black Box Missions.
The fun isn’t over after the Seige of Paris. Developers said a new River Raids map pack is planned to launch later this summer that will include destinations scattered along the rivers of Francia and Ireland.
