The latest Angry Birds game in line for release has been announced as Angry Birds Transformers. Certainly an exciting mix up of two massive creative franchises, each toy-titans in their own right.
Transformers are fondly remembered by children of the eighties and adored by children today. Angry Birds catapulted it’s way onto our mobile screens in 2009, nesting at forefront of mobile gaming ever since.
“We’re really excited to combine the iconic Transformers universe with the quirky world of Angry Birds. This mash-up is going to appeal to both those who grew up with the brand in the 80’s, as well as fans of the brand today. People are going to love it!”
The new game will feature a brand new story, new characters such as Autobirds and Deceptihogs and will be available across multiple platforms. Angry Birds Transformers Telepod toys are expected to be introduced later this year.
While we have been given no official release date for the game, the developers tease it will be available in app stores “soon”.
Hasbro and Rovio are due to reveal more Angry Birds Transformers news over the next few weeks. Until then we sit tight and refresh the app store until the game appears!
