Yara Flor Arrives in Style in Wonder Girl #1 this May

If you enjoyed the story of Yara Flor in DC’s Future State event then get ready for more: the new Wonder Woman is getting her own comic series that launches this May!

Comic readers were introduced to the future Wonder Woman Yara Flor during DC’s Future State crossover event and the character became an instant hit. Fortunately, this two part event isn’t the end of Yara Flor’s story, it seems to be just the beginning.

It’s been announced that Yara Flor will be the star of an ongoing series starting in May 2021! Wonder Girl #1 will continue the story for Yara Flor as she travels to Brazil to find herself and a whole lot more in the process. The series will be written by writer, artist, and cover artist Joëlle Jones.

The synopsis for Wonder Girl #1 reads as follows:

Raised in the far-off land of Boise, Idaho, Yara has always felt something has been missing from her life—and now she is headed to Brazil to find it. Little does she know her arrival will set off a series of events that will change the world of Wonder Woman forever.
 

Her return has been prophesied, and with that prophesy comes the undivided attention of benevolent gods from pantheons beyond. Danger lurks around every corner—but is this young hero ready for her journey? Find out in a debut issue you absolutely cannot miss!

But don’t worry, we have to wait until May to see more of Yara Flor, a teaser issue, DC’s Infinite Frontier #0 will be launching on March 2nd, teasing the start of Yara’s journey.
