Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back – FACPOV Full Details Revealed!

Today, Star Wars and Del Rey revealed all the details for the upcoming anthology book, From a Certain Point of View – The Empire Strikes Back, including story and character details!

40 authors, 40 stories, 40 characters…let’s go!

Released in 2017 to celebrate the Star Wars 40th anniversary, From a Certain Point of View was a huge hit with fans both young and old. The anthology book would bring together 40 authors, to tell 40 different short stories, each one based on a background or lesser known character.

It was no surprise then when the announcement came this past summer that, in conjunction with the 40th anniversary of The Empire Strikes Back, a second anthology book was on its way, arriving this November. Here’s the summary…

From a Certain Point of View strikes back! Celebrate the legacy of the groundbreaking Star Wars sequel with this exciting re-imagining of the timeless film.

On May 21, 1980 Star Wars became a true saga with the release of The Empire Strikes Back. In honor of the fortieth anniversary, forty storytellers recreate an iconic scene from The Empire Strikes Back through the eyes of a supporting character, from heroes and villains to droids and creatures. From a Certain Point of View features contributions by bestselling authors and trendsetting artists.

The 40 authors selected this time around are a mix of old and new, with 12 returning and 28 FACPOV first-timers. Here’s the complete list…

Details have been sparse since the announcement back in July, but that all changed today on Twitter with Star Wars and Del Rey dropping the full slate of characters complete with social cards, and in the order they appear…

It’s worth repeating, all the authors have generously waived compensation, instead, their proceeds will be donated to First Book, a leading nonprofit that provides new books, learning materials, and other essentials to educators and organizations serving children in need.
