With next-gen consoles comes next-gen sound. While some of that sound will undoubtedly be heard through TV speakers, they capture the full audio experience like a quality gaming headset. Thankfully, leading premium audiophile headphone manufacturer Audeze is preparing to take full advantage of next-gen audio with their new Wireless Headset.
This is the Audeze Penrose Wireless Planar Magnetic Headset, designed with PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X in mind.
“We’re excited to finally offer gamers a true wireless planar headset,” says Audeze CEO Sankar Thiagasamudram, adding “Penrose is a huge leap forward for wireless console gaming audio and we can’t wait for people to hear it.”
Audeze Penrose features include:
- Audeze 100mm planar magnetic drivers
- 2.4GHz lossless low-latency wireless
- Bluetooth 5.0 (SBC and AAC)
- Audeze HQ mobile and desktop app with custom EQ and sidetone toggling
Additionally, the Wireless Planar Magnetic Headset includes a broadcast quality microphone. The mic utilizes flexible boom construction and reduces background noise by up to 20dB, thanks to built-in noise filters.
The Audeze Penrose Wireless Planar Magnetic Headset is available to pre-order now in two versions: Penrose (PS5) and Penrose X (XBX). Both versions will work on each system and PC. The retail price of the Audeze Penrose Wireless Planar Magnetic Headset is $299.99. However, if you’re one of the first 1,000 to pre-order the headset, you can get $50 off.
The Audeze Penrose Wireless Planar Magnetic Headset is slated to release in September.
