New SDCC Exclusives Reveal the Sith Trooper from The Rise of Skywalker!

A brand new Trooper design from The Rise of Skywalker has been revealed thanks to some swanky new merchandise available at SDCC.

[Update: LEGO isn’t getting left out of the Sith Trooper fun, and they’ve now revealed their Star Wars SDCC exclusive. The bust of the new trooper comes in at 484 pieces and will cost $45.

Attendees must have entered a submission of interest for this LEGO Exclusive through the San Diego Comic-Con 2019 Exclusives Portal. The original article follows below!]

More Star Wars toy/merchandise exclusives are coming to SDCC 2019 and they have revealed an all new enemy in The Rise of Skywalker: the Sith Trooper! The striking red design is immediately eye-catching and I suspect we’ll see it plenty once the film’s marketing kicks into high gear.

Fans attending San Diego Comic-Con will have the first chance to get their hands on Sith Trooper merchandise. From Hasbro, Funko, Hot Toys and more, you’ll have plenty to choose from in terms of goodies to track down:

While these toys are incredibly cool (of course, they had to be revealed right AFTER I posted my SDCC Toy article), the implications of the trooper’s name is what’s really intriguing. Since marketing began on The Force Awakens, it was made clear that Kylo Ren and Snoke were NOT Sith. Dark side followers, yes, but not of the Sith order.

Supposedly, they’re all gone but the introduction of Sith Troopers means something has changed. There are a bunch of questions related to the reveal of the Sith Trooper, but for now we don’t have any answers. So let’s just enjoy the pretty, pretty design.
