Hasbro and Robosen have revealed the villainous Megatron as the latest in their fully functional, robotic Transformer toys!
What good is a badass toy of a good guy without a villain to fight? Well, in the case of Robosen’s amazing line-up of actual Transformer robots…quite a bit. The point, however, is it’s about time the Decepticons got the spotlight, and that’s exactly what Hasbro/Robosen are doing now with the Flagship Megatron.
The leader of the evil Decepticons will be joining their line of high-quality, fully functioning, robot collectibles (which already includes Optimus Prime, Bumblebee, and last year’s Grimlock). These things rule incredibly hard, and only get better with the customizable options. Having a Megatron that transforms into the tank (which you can then drive around) is just way too neat.
After over 3 years of rigorous R&D, the talented team at Robosen has successfully produced a new, awe-inspiring conversion process with Megatron changing from robot to tank instantly, via app or voice! Coupled with a comprehensive set of functions, including automatic convertible movements from tank to robot, a new and more fluid bipedal walking algorithm, integration of 112 ultra-bright LEDs, an arsenal of incredible included weapons, and a brilliant silver-metallic finish that embodies the true essence of the ominous leader. The Flagship Megatron is poised to dominate any Autobot that stands in his way at a staggering 21” tall and is equipped with 36 servo motors along with 118 microchips powering it from the inside.

The Flagship Megatron from Robosen is currently up for pre-order (expected to launch later this year). If you snag it within the next 30 days it’s $899. After that, it will go for the normal retail price of $1,199.
