LEGO Star Wars: Rebuild the Galaxy hit Disney+ just the other month, and it was a hoot. Even better, the ideas/story presented offers the opportunity for some unique toys. Among them is LEGO’s The Dark Falcon which, as the name implies, is a new take on the iconic spaceship as seen in the animated miniseries.

LEGO was kind enough to send me one of these sets to put together and share my thoughts on. Which is amazing because, crazy as it sounds, I’ve never actually had a LEGO Millennium Falcon set to put together!

All in all, The Dark Falcon is a fantastic set. While some parts of the build felt more difficult than I felt they needed to be, I’m still impressed with how it comes together in the end. There are a ridiculous amount of details both inside and out that manage to be fun nods to the iconic franchise, while still feeling fresh. Combined with the awesome minifigures we wouldn’t otherwise be able to get, and there’s no reason to skip out on this.

LEGO is always a great idea for Christmas, so if you’re shopping for a Star Wars fan this Christmas, or looking for something to do with your family, definitely snag The Dark Falcon. This LEGO Star Wars set is currently available for $180 online and at most major retailers. You can learn more about the set, and buy one directly, from LEGO’s official site.
