Star Wars: Bounty Hunter Gets Updated Console Release in August

One of the best Star Wars games around, Bounty Hunter, is getting new life on all consoles later this Summer!

No, you’re not going crazy, this isn’t the first time Bounty Hunter has gotten a remaster of sorts. It was included (digitally) as part of an exclusive Star Wars PlayStation 4 console release several years ago, and even got a Limited Run Games physical edition back in 2019.

Today’s announcement, however, means the game is coming to ALL current systems and will include some additional enhancements to the overall game. To which I say, “fuck yes.”

Bounty Hunter is one of my personal favorite Star Wars games. It has a solid story and fun action. If the enhancements actually help tweak the camera controls (about my only issue when replaying it on PS4), then fans are in for a treat with this re-release in August.

Become the most feared Bounty Hunter in the galaxy! As Jango Fett, you’ll have to jump, jetpack, climb, and maneuver in this iconic action-adventure game featuring a variety of visual improvements on modern platforms, as well as Steam Deck support and a number of DualSense controller features for PlayStation 5 players.

And for the first time ever, if the campaign is completed, players can unlock a new Boba Fett skin for their next playthrough, paying off a notorious easter egg from the original game!

Key Features

Let the Hunt Begin: In this classic third-person action-adventure, you’ll play as Jango Fett, Prime Clone of the Grand Army of the Republic, hired to capture a deranged Dark Jedi.

Relive the Timeless Tale: Experience the legendary Bounty Hunter fantasy set before the events of Star Wars: Episode II – Attack of the Clones™. Face off against foes and maneuver through acrobatic battles in this adaption optimized for today’s consoles and hardware.

Armed to the Teeth: Fight your way through the galaxy’s underbelly, equipped with Dual Blasters, your Flamethrower, Whipcord, and pure Mandalorian Rage.

Star Wars: Bounty Hunter launches for PlayStation 4|5, Xbox consoles, Nintendo Switch, and PCs August 1, 2024.
