An interesting rumor has surfaced with exciting implications if proven true: Activision just might be teasing the existence of Spyro 4.
The tease for Spyro 4, if that is indeed what this is, can be found in the new art book for Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time. One piece of concept art features Spyro along with the tantalizing caption “….and a little hint at Spyro.”

Now, it should be noted that this could mean absolutely nothing. It’s entirely possible there’s no deeper meaning here and Activision is just showing some cool concept art of Spyro.
But then again…considering how popular Crash Bandicoot 4 was, it’s not outside the realm of possibility that Activision may be working on Spyro 4 to further cash in on the nostalgic love that many still feel for the little purple dragon, especially in the wake of the successful Spyro Reignited Trilogy from 2018.
Only time will tell if Spyro 4 is actually a thing, but for now, I choose to live in hope.
