More Ports and Remasters Revealed in Nintendo’s Partner Showcase

During the Nintendo Direct: Partner Showcase, a whole bunch of ports and remasters were revealed to be coming to the system for gamers to enjoy on the go!

Even with rumors of the Switch successor ever looming, there are still a whole bunch of games coming to the plucky handheld system. During today’s Nintendo Direct Partner Showcase, a slew of upcoming ports/remasters were announced (or given fresh details).

There’s quite a bit, so we rounded them all up in one convenient place for you. We’ll have a roundup from the Indie World showcase online soon.

Castlevania Dominus Collection

Three fan-favorite Castlevania titles, originally released on Nintendo DS, return in one collection. Get ready to slash through monsters, crawl through dark corridors, and fight evil throughout the centuries in three classic platforming adventures. Once again battle Dracula and his terrifying minions across Castlevania: Dawn of Sorrow, Castlevania: Portrait of Ruin and Castlevania: Order of Ecclesia, plus two versions of Haunted Castle, the arcade game that started it all – the original and a reimagined version.

Castlevania Dominus Collection hits the Nintendo eShop later today.

Sid Meier’s Civilization VII

Somehow, Firaxis is porting Civilization VII (which got a big gameplay reveal during Gamescom) to the Nintendo Switch, and even launching day and date with the other consoles on February 11, 2025.

Yakuza Kiwami

The Yakuza franchise is finally coming to the Nintendo Switch for the first time. Sega revealed Yakuza Kiwami will be hitting the system on October 24, 2024. Which is the same day the Yakuza: Like a Dragon live-action series debuts on Prime Video….

As Kazuma Kiryu, players will take the fall for a murder they didn’t commit, only to emerge from prison 10 years later with Yakuza clans on the brink of war. Set against the bustling red-light district in modern-day Japan, the critically acclaimed title features action packed fighting, romance, and side experiences galore.

Dragon Quest III HD-2D Remake

Square Enix revealed a new trailer for Dragon Quest III HD-2D Remake, heralding the arrival of pre-orders for the highly anticipated RPG.

DRAGON QUEST III HD-2D Remake is the chronological beginning of the “Erdrick Trilogy”, which will continue in 2025 with the release of DRAGON QUEST I & II HD-2D Remake, and the perfect entry point for newcomers to one of the most influential franchises in gaming history.

 

The iconic HD-2D look and its evocative mix of 2D pixel sprites and three-dimensional environments imbue the reimagined environments with far greater clarity and detail. Plus, existing fans can re-experience the beloved RPG like never before. Enjoy auto-saves and plentiful new save points throughout the journey, customizable battle speed, an auto-battle function, a modernized UI and quality-of-life conveniences across the entire game. Confront challenging new boss fights in new story episodes chronicling the origins of Ortega, the protagonist’s father.

Pre-orders for Dragon Quest III HD-2D Remake are live now on all platforms ahead of its November 14th release.

Capcom Fighters Galore

Capcom revealed not one, but two fighting game collections coming to the Nintendo Switch: Capcom Fighting Collection 2 and MARVEL vs. CAPCOM Fighting Collection: Arcade Classics. The first is a newly revealed collection (also hitting other platforms) that brings together a bevy of iconic fighting favorites for gamers to enjoy.

Capcom Fighting Collection 2 will arrive at some point in 2025, but the previously announced Marvel vs. Capcom Fighting Collection: Arcade Classics releases digitally on September 12th with a physical release coming November 22, 2024.

MySims Cozy Bundle

Released back in the late 00s for the Wii and DS systems, EA’s MySims series is making a comeback on Nintendo Switch thanks to some revamped ports.

The MySims: Cozy Bundle features retro re-releases of two fan-favorite games, MySims and MySims Kingdom, inviting players to unleash their creativity and explore familiar worlds that are full of puzzles to solve, locations to discover, tons of characters with big personalities to meet, and a lot to build, paint and decorate!

MySims Cozy Bundle arrives on November 19th.

Tales of Graces f Remastered

The 2010 RPG is making it’s way to the Switch thanks to a new remaster, allowing players the chance to enjoy it once more, or play it for the first time.

In TALES OF GRACES f REMASTERED, players will follow the adventures of Asbel and his friends as they embark on a world-spanning quest filled with unforgettable characters, shocking revelations, and unique companions brought together through promises made across time. The title is set in the world of Ephinea, a planet blessed with abundant greenery. The journey takes players across a world ruled by three great nations, each with the power of Eleth.

Tales of Graces f Remastered hits all platforms on January 17, 2025.

Suikoden I&II HD Remaster: Gate Rune and Dunan Unification Wars

The Suikoden I and II HD remasters are coming to the Switch! The reveal during the Nintendo Direct Partner Showcase also gave eager players a release date to look forward to!

The legendary RPG series has returned, with newly remastered versions of Suikoden I and Suikoden II! Meet and befriend up to 108 allies, build up your home base, expand your sphere of influence, and unite with your allies to fight for justice. Employ intuitive turn-based fighting mechanics and make use of new support features like one-button automation and sped-up battles in this collection.

Suikoden I&II HD Remaster: Gate Rune and Dunan Unification Wars hits all platforms (including PS5) on March 6, 2025.

Goat Simulator 3

The latest Goat Simulator game is coming to Nintendo Switch via the eShop later today!

Take control of more goats than you ever thought possible in this playful sandbox experience. Complete quests and challenges, or just cause mayhem — it’s all up to you and your goat. Invite friends to join in via online multiplayer and local split screen options, too!
