As Sony and PlayStation gear up to launch the expanded PlayStation Plus options, the company announced some big titles heading to the service.
PlayStation Plus and PS Now will be merging to create new — and more expensive — tiers of the subscription service that is very reminiscent of what Microsoft is doing with Xbox Game Pass + Live as well as what Nintendo is doing with its Online Service.
In addition the monthly free games that PlayStation players have been getting for free on the first Tuesday of the month the better part of a decade, PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium/Deluxe members will also get new titles to download in the middle of each month.
The lowest tier of PS Plus is essentially the service we’ve had since it first launched as an optional subscription in 2010.
Players will have the option to increase the price to $99/year for the the PlayStation Plus Extra Plan and get access to a catalogue of PS4 and PS5 games to download and play. Players who upgrade to the $120/year Premium/Deluxe Plan will get access to the PS4 and PS5 games as well as a huge catalogue of games dating back to the PSOne.
Sony revealed a list of the first round of games heading to the service when it launches June 13 in North America.

After downloading a trial of the full game, you can play it for two hours for most games – the playtime counter only counts while you are in the game. It’s a great way to try games before you decide to buy, and any trophies and game save data from the trial period will carry-forward if you purchase the game.
