The gameplay has officially been revealed for the upcoming South of Midnight.
At the Xbox Games Showcase, we got a proper look at the upcoming game South of Midnight from Compulsion Games. South of Midnight will be released in 2025 on Xbox Series X|S, Windows PC, Steam, and Cloud – and play with Xbox Game Pass on day one.
The story of South of Midnight is set somewhere in the Deep South after a Category 5 hurricane sweeps through. Hazel, the main character, is looking for her mother, but it’s quickly obvious that this isn’t quite the same world as before.

The game is set to take the player through a variety of biomes that all resemble different areas within the real-life Deep South. Along the way, the player has to deal with a variety of monsters, including a giant alligator named Two-Toed Tom.
The game looks incredible and is definitely one to watch out for in 2025.
