PS Vita’s Freedom Wars Gets Remaster For PC, Switch

Freedom Wars Remastered / Bandai Namco

The PlayStation Vita’s Freedom Wars will finally release on current gen consoles, Bandai Namco announced today. The remastered version of the game will head to PlayStation 4 and 5 consoles, in addition to PC and Nintendo Switch.

“In the distant future, humanity is in a struggle to survive. Pollution has devastated the planet, and the remnants of humanity are divided amongst city-sized prisons called Panopticons. So scarce are resources that living itself is a crime and those born are immediately given a million years of prison time,” the publisher said in a news release. “Dubbed ‘Sinners’ the only option other than awaiting death in prison is to fight for freedom with allies for resources, to rescue citizens from abduction by rival enemies, or take up arms against other enemy Sinners.”

Freedom Wars Remastered will release on January 10, 2025, developed by Dimps.

The updated release will include 4K, 60 frames per second, and upgraded graphics and textures, streamlined in-game systems, and more. The game includes multiplayer up to 8 players, according to the official game page.
