If you want to get the latest PlayStation controller you better get ready to open that wallet!
Sony announced that the new Dualsense Edge controller will launch January 26, 2023. To get the controller you will need to shell out $199.99. That’s a big oof from pretty much everyone here at Cinelinx.
The Edge controller is a direct competition to Xbox’s Elite controllers, which new models retail for $179, and a new “lite” version comes in at $129.
The Dualsense Edge controller comes with customizable sticks which can be replaced with alternate heights, and come with a slider bar to adjust how far they travel. Sony will be selling replacement sticks for $19.99. Lets hope that this $200 option isn’t the only way to correct the stick drift issues with regular Dualsense controllers.
The new controller also has two rear paddles, replaceable back buttons, a charging cradle, and comes with a carrying case that includes a charging cable.
