Save a Cozy Town from Demons in Bloomtown: A Different Story

Bloomtown: A Different Story

This Gamescom 2024 announcement features a cozy town, but isn’t quite a cozy game (and I’m here for it).

This week, we learned that Bloomtown: A Different Story will officially launching on September 24. It’s the latest title from Lazy Bear Games, Graveyard Keeper and Punch Club, and Different Sense Games.

Bloomtown: A Different Story is described as a “Persona-inspired JRPG” that includes turn-based combat, monster taming and social elements, a news release says.

Bloomtown: A Different Story

Bloomtown is a quiet and cozy American suburb, but this is only a façade – a demon world is growing beneath the surface, children are disappearing, and it’s up to you to save the town! Playing as Emily and her younger brother Chester on summer vacation, you’ll tame monsters from the Underside and create your own demon-hunting squad with unique team synergies.

Make the most of your summer holiday adventure! Explore the city’s secret areas, exercise at the gym, work at the grocery store, take up gardening, or make resourceful friends. The decisions – and the adventure – are yours!

The Steam store description says the game is set in a seemingly pleasant 1960s Americana world where you will fight the demonic creatures that live in the hearts of the town’s residents.

Bloomtown: A Different Story will launch on PC, along with PlayStation, Xbox, and Nintendo consoles.
