The cast of the live-action Ahsoka series continues to grow as Wes Chatham joins the story.
Update: So as it turns out my theorizing about Chatham playing Captain Pellaeon was completely inaccurate. But still, it was a nice thought
It was reported earlier today by Deadline that Wes Chatham (The Expanse, The Hunger Games) has officially joined the cast of the live-action Ahsoka series. The exact name of the character Chatham will play isn’t known, but it’s been reported that he’ll be playing the right-hand man to Grand Admiral Thrawn.
While nothing official may have been reported on the name of Chatham’s character, this little detail about Thrawn may point to the answer after all. Long time fans of Star Wars Legends continuity (formerly known as the EU) will be fully aware that in Heir to the Empire (Thrawn’s debut appearance), a title that was noticeably cited in the Ahsoka trailer, Thrawn’s right hand man was Captain Pellaeon. Furthermore, Thrawn was heard talking to a character of the same name shortly before disappearing into Wild Space with Ezra Bridger. Could Chatham be playing a version of that character? It’s certainly possible, and it would be a nice nod to the original stories that introduced Grand Admiral Thrawn.
Do you think Wes Chatham is playing Captain Pellaeon? Or will he be playing someone else? We’ll know soon enough as Ahsoka is arriving on Disney+ in August 2023.
