Peacock announces New Casting for Season 2 of ‘Twisted Metal’

As season 2 of Twisted Metal comes together, Peacock has announced some new casting for the upcoming season.

Emmy and SAG Award-nominated actor Anthony Carrigan (Barry, Superman) will join Season 2 of Peacock’s original comedy series Twisted Metal as a series regular. Carrigan will play Calypso, the mysterious, charismatic host and creator of a dangerous demolition derby tournament, who invites all assassins, vigilantes, mercenaries and joyriders to participate.

Richard de Klerk (A Teenage Prophet, Strange Empire), Patty Guggenheim (She-Hulk: Attorney at Law, Florida Girls), and Tiana Okoye (Panhandle, Mrs. Davis) also join the Season 2 cast as recurring guest stars. They join Season 1 cast executive producer and star Anthony Mackie (“John Doe”), Stephanie Beatriz (“Quiet”) and Joe Seanoa (“Sweet Tooth”), with executive producer/star Will Arnett (voice of “Sweet Tooth”).

For those not familiar, TWISTED METAL is a half-hour live-action TV series based on the classic PlayStation game series, a high-octane action comedy, based on an original take by Rhett Reese & Paul Wernick (Deadpool, Zombieland) and written by Michael Jonathan Smith (Cobra Kai). The first season is about a motor-mouthed outsider offered a chance at a better life, but only if he can successfully deliver a mysterious package across a post-apocalyptic wasteland. With the help of a badass axe-wielding car thief, he’ll face savage marauders driving vehicles of destruction and other dangers of the open road, including a deranged clown who drives an all too familiar ice cream truck.
