Official ‘Cowboy Bebop’ Trailer Brings Memorable Anime Moments to Life

In just a few weeks, Netflix will premiere their live action version of one of the greatest animes ever made, Cowboy Bebop. To get ready for the series premiere, the streaming giant released the official trailer, featuring loads of moments from the anime that fans will undoubtedly remember.

COWBOY BEBOP is an action-packed space Western about three bounty hunters, aka “cowboys,” all trying to outrun the past. As different as they are deadly, Spike Spiegel (John Cho), Jet Black (Mustafa Shakir), and Faye Valentine (Daniella Pineda) form a scrappy, snarky crew ready to hunt down the solar system’s most dangerous criminals — for the right price. But they can only kick and quip their way out of so many scuffles before their pasts finally catch up with them.

From all the footage we’ve seen up to this point, it appears that most of the series will stay true to the anime, albeit with some dialogue changes here and there. Most of the marks, backstories, and settings look very much the same. Most peculiar, though, is that through all of the footage we’ve seen, not once has Ed been shown. The genius child hacker is said to be in the show by showrunner André Nemec, but they are keeping Ed under wraps for whatever reason.

We’ll certainly know why soon enough when Cowboy Bebop becomes available to stream on November 19, 2021 exclusively on Netflix.
