Netflix has released our first official look at the live action Yu Yu Hakusho and it looks incredible.
As part of Geeked Week, Netflix released the first look at a number of projects, including the live-action adaption of Yu Yu Hakusho. The manga series previously received an iconic anime adaptation in the 90s, but this is the first time the series is being brought to life via live action. The series arrives to Netflix on December 14, 2023.

Yu Yu Hakusho follows the adventures of Yusuke Urameshi, a teenage delinquent who is sent back to Earth as a “spirit detective” after dying while saving a child’s life. This series of unprecedented scale is brought to life by an all-star cast that includes Takumi Kitamura, Jun Shison, Kanata Hongo, Shuhei Uesugi, Kenichi Takito, Goro Inagaki and Go Ayano.
Yu Yu Hakusho comes to Netflix on December 14, 2023.
