Ahead of the second season premiere, Netflix has released a single from the upcoming season 2 soundtrack for Shadow and Bone.
Netflix announces the release of the single “Come Sail Away” from Shadow and Bone: Season 2 (Soundtrack From the Netflix Series) with music by composer Joseph Trapanese. The single is available now here. The full 29-track album will be available on March 10, 2023. Shadow and Bone Season 2 will premiere globally on March 16, 2023, only on Netflix.
The music of Shadow and Bone continues to explore the series’ central themes of identity, power, love, and sacrifice with expansive variations on the powerful melodies from the first season and original music for new characters and locations of Season 2.
Consisting of symphonic orchestra, violin and cello soloists (Alina and Mal), basses and cellos (Darkling), gamelan ensemble (Grisha), and Romani instrumentation (Crows), the musical palette has also been expanded with flute (Wylan), zithers and tack piano (Sturmhond, Tolya and Tamar), and more specialized ensembles for the newly introduced lands and people of Novyi Zem and Shu Han.
