Amazon and Sony are continuing to flesh out the Spider-verse with a new live-action series focused on the grizzled ‘Noir’ version of the hero.
On top of developing, Silk: Spider Society, another live-action series set in Spider-Man’s universe, Amazon is working on another new show as well. Variety is reporting that Amazon and Sony are currently developing a series about Spider-Man Noir!
The show is being produced by Phil Lord and Christopher Miller, with Oren Uziel (The Lost City, Mortal Kombat) penning the script. While most details on the new show are still unknown, the untitled series will apparently take place in its own universe, separate from the other Spidey projects. It’ll be set in the 1930s in New York, but won’t actually feature Peter Parker as the webslinger this time.
Spider-Man Noir has been around for a bit, featuring in both comics, video games, and of course as a primary character in Into The Spider-Verse. I’m eager to see how this new version takes shape. I mean, I’m a sucker for any and all things Spider-Man so I’m already down for this. Let’s just hope all these spin-offs are actually good.
