As What If…? comes to a close, Marvel Animation has dropped a new trailer and poster for next month’s Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man!
Our best look, so far, at the new animated Spider-Man series arrived over the weekend. Coming on the heels of the What If…? series finale, this new trailer offers a solid look at the humor, action, and animation style fans will be getting next month.
I know there are plenty of debates going on right now amongst fans regarding the animation style…but I’m digging it. Seeing it in motion makes it work far better than the screenshots and short clips we’ve had. Beyond that, it feels like they’ve nailed the tone of Spidey/Peter Parker while still doing its own thing.
“Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man” follows Peter Parker on his way to becoming a hero, with a journey unlike we’ve ever seen and a style that celebrates the character’s early comic book roots.
The talented voice cast includes Hudson Thames, Colman Domingo, Eugene Byrd, Grace Song, Zeno Robinson, Hugh Dancy and Charlie Cox. The head writer is Jeff Trammell and Mel Zwyer is the supervising director. Brad Winderbaum, Kevin Feige, Louis D’Esposito, Dana Vasquez-Eberhardt and Trammell serve as executive producers.
The 10-episode series, Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man, debuts January 29, 2025 exclusively on Disney+.
