Full Trailer for Netflix’s Resident Evil Gets a Lot Right

During their GeekedWeek presentation yesterday, Netflix revealed the full trailer for the live-action Resident Evil series…and it’s good.

There’ve been a lot of attempts to make live-action Resident Evil work. Some of the movies have done okay, but recently it feels like the property has been a tough nut to crack. After this trailer, I’m beginning to think this is the one that’ll get it right for sure:

Year 2036 – 14 years after the spread of Joy caused so much pain, Jade Wesker fights for survival in a world overrun by the blood-thirsty infected and mind-shattering creatures. In this absolute carnage, Jade is haunted by her past in New Raccoon City, by her father’s chilling connections to the sinister Umbrella Corporation but mostly by what happened to her sister, Billie.

Resident Evil hits Netflix on July 14, 2022.
