Critical Role Reveals New Looks at ‘The Legend of Vox Machina’ Season 3 and The Mighty Nein Series at SDCC

As San Diego Comic Con 2024 ramps up, Critical Role has already revealed a lot of new material for their upcoming animated projects.

It’s no secret that Critical Role fans have been praying for more news about The Legend of Vox Machina as SDCC approached and their wishes were promptly granted as earlier today a new clip was released from the upcoming third season of The Legend of Vox Machina. This clip features several of our heroes racing through the streets of what appears to be Ank’Harel, a major city in Marquet.

Unfortunately, our heroes are also being pursued by the city guard, as you can see in the clip below:

With Season 3 of The Legend of Vox Machina arriving on October 3, 2024, this clip certainly gives fans much to look forward to.

But that wasn’t all. Fans were also thrilled to see our first official look at the upcoming Mighty Nein animated series, which will be adapting Critical Role’s second campaign. The clip isn’t fully animated and only uses animatics, but one can already get a sense of how the series will look and it looks incredible!

Below you can watch a scene that shows how Jester and Fjord (voiced by real life spouses Laura Bailey and Travis Willingham) first meet:

There’s still no timeline for when the Mighty Nein animated series will premiere, but it’s nice to see this in-progress sequence to whet our appetites for the time being.

For those curious about more Critical Role news, the official Critical Role panel will be held tomorrow, July 27, at 3pm PT.
