HBO has revealed the first trailers for House of the Dragon Season 2, while also revealing a premiere date for fans to mark down!
Are you Team Rhaenyra or Team Alicent? Today, in revealing the first official trailer(s) for House of the Dragon season 2, fans are given the choice thanks to “dueling” trailers. Even better we also have a premier date to mark on our calendars! These were revealed over in France this morning to coincide with the announcement of Max finally rolling out in Europe (beginning May 21st).
Obviously you can (and should) watch both trailers, but it’s a fun kick-off to the marketing for this new season. I, personally, can’t wait. Despite not really looking forward to it originally, I was utterly blown away by House of the Dragon and I’m eager to see how things continue to escalate following that stellar/shocking finale. June can’t get her soon enough!
Based on George R.R. Martin’s “Fire & Blood,” the series, set 200 years before the events of “Game of Thrones,” tells the story of House Targaryen.
Westeros is on the brink of a bloody civil war with the Green and Black Councils fighting for King Aegon and Queen Rhaenyra, respectively. As each side believes theirs to be the rightful seat on the Iron Throne, the Green and Black trailers reflect those two perspectives in separate yet complementary halves of the same story. For global audiences, “All Must Choose” their side of House Targaryen as the realm fractures in season two.
House of the Dragon season 2 consists of eight episodes and will premier Sunday, June 16, 2024 on HBO (and streaming on Max) at 9pm ET.
Sooooooo, are you Team Black or Green?
