Trap Trailer: A Concert Isn’t What You Expect in M. Night Shyamalan’s Latest

The first trailer for M. Night Shayamalan’s newest film, Trap, has arrived to reveal Josh Hartnett at his creepiest so far.

You all know me…I’m a big ‘ol M. Night shill. Even as some of his films haven’t landed with me, I’m always interested in what he’s going to do next. Plus, he always does an awesome job with trailers. Such is the case here with Trap:

Lots of interesting stuff going on here, and I dig the idea of Hartnett playing this serial killer/doting father character all rolled into one. How it all shakes out in regards to the titular trap that’s set for him can certainly make for something thrilling to watch. Color me intrigued.

Between this and The Watchers, from his daughter Ishana Night, it’s looking to be the Summer of Shyamalan!

Warner Bros. Pictures presents a new experience in the world of M. Night Shayamalan—“Trap” —featuring performances by rising music star Saleka Shyamalan.

A father and teen daughter attend a pop concert, where they realize they’re at the center of a dark and sinister event.

Written and directed by M. Night Shyamalan, “Trap” stars Josh Hartnett, Ariel Donoghue, Saleka Shyamalan, Hayley Mills and Allison Pill. The film is produced by Ashwin Rajan, Marc Bienstock and M. Night Shyamalan. The executive producer is Steven Schneider.

Trap is set to hit theaters on August 9, 2024.
