This morning brings our first look at Denzel Washington and Frances McDormand in The Tragedy of Macbeth from Joel Coen.
I can’t say I’m a huge fan of straight up Shakespeare adaptations. Most of them are really good, but they just aren’t something I seek out. That said, this new version of Macbeth with Denzel Washington has certainly caught my attention.
Between the cast, the atmosphere, and overall design, this looks like it could be the definitive version of this classic tale.
