Story Trailer for Yars Rising
Wayforward and Atari revealed a new trailer for Yars Rising, the latest game in the Yars franchise. This time around, the focus is on the story gamers will be playing through.
In the new story trailer, black hat hacker Emi’s mission takes a dangerous turn when she’s caught hacking into Qotech’s servers and dragged into the depths of the company’s headquarters. What was supposed to be a quick in-and-out job becomes a fight for survival as she discovers powerful augments and biohacks. As she navigates through a maze of aggressive sentinels, laser defenses, and bizarre bio-hacking experiments, Emi realizes there’s much more at stake than she ever imagined.
Emi’s struggle intensifies as she attempts to escape her captors. Communicating with her fellow hackers, she uncovers hidden augments that expand her abilities, allowing her to explore previously inaccessible areas. As she battles through enemies and security systems, Emi begins to unravel the corporation’s dark secret and her unexpected connection to a distant alien race. It’s now up to her to expose Qotech’s true mission and prevent a looming catastrophe.

Despicable Me 4 Home Entertainment Release Details
Universal announced the home entertainment details for Despicable Me 4 this week. The animated film will hit digitally on September 10th (next week), with the 4K Ultra HD arriving later this month on September 24th. There are also a whole bunch of bonus features to look forward to:

NetherRealm and WB Interactive revealed a new gameplay trailer for the upcoming Mortal Kombat 1 expansion, Khaos Reigns. The trailer puts the focus on Sektor’s deadly skillset and what players can expect later this month!

‘The Burbs’ TV Series Heads to Peacock
Peacock announced this week they’ve given a straight to series order for a new take on The ‘Burbs which will star Keke Palmer (who’s also executive producing).

Buu Saga Characters Revealed for Dragon Ball Sparking! Zero
Bandai Namco revealed even more Dragon Ball Z characters joining the massive roster of fighters for Dragon Ball Sparking! Zero.
The Buu Saga character trailer reveals Super Buu (Gotenks Absorbed), Super Buu (Gohan Absorbed), and Kid Buu, expanding the game’s roster of playable characters. Kid Buu is the original form of Majin Buu, known for his pure evil and immense destructive power. Super Buu (Gotenks Absorbed) is a fusion of Majin Buu and Gotenks, known for his incredible speed, and Super Buu (Gohan Absorbed) is a powerful form created when Majin Buu absorbs Gohan.
Marking the return of the revered BUDOKAI TENKAICHI DRAGON BALL fighting game franchise, DRAGON BALL: Sparking! ZERO brings the series forward to a new era by pushing the envelope for gameplay and features in an arena brawler. First Trailer for Universal’s new Wolf Man Movie
This week brought horror fans their first look at Leigh Whannell’s Wolf Man from Universal/Blumhouse Pictures.
Golden Globe nominee Christopher Abbott (Poor Things, It Comes at Night) stars as Blake, a San Francisco husband and father, who inherits his remote childhood home in rural Oregon after his own father vanishes and is presumed dead. With his marriage to his high-powered wife, Charlotte (Emmy winner Julia Garner; Ozark, Inventing Anna), fraying, Blake persuades Charlotte to take a break from the city and visit the property with their young daughter, Ginger (Matlida Firth; Hullraisers, Coma).
But as the family approaches the farmhouse in the dead of night, they’re attacked by an unseen animal and, in a desperate escape, barricade themselves inside the home as the creature prowls the perimeter. As the night stretches on, however, Blake begins to behave strangely, transforming into something unrecognizable, and Charlotte will be forced to decide whether the terror within their house is more lethal than the danger without.
Wolf Man hits theaters on January 17, 2025.
