Paramount Scares Vol. 2 on 4K in October
Paramount has announced the second volume of their Paramount Scares boxsets, which gives four classic horror films a 4K remaster. It’s set to arrive on October 1st, so just in time for Halloween marathons!
This collectible box set includes four killer films that offer an exciting mix of all that the horror genre has to offer. From a knife-wielding maniac in FRIDAY THE 13TH PART II, to the twisted thrills of ORPHAN: FIRST KILL, the terrifying zombie hordes of WORLD WAR Z, and the psychological terror of BREAKDOWN, this must-own collection delivers loads of chills and thrills.

Visions of Mana Demo Goes Live
Ahead of it’s August 29th release, Square Enix launched a demo for Visions of Mana on PlayStation and Xbox devices this week. While save data won’t transfer over, demo players will get some special weapons for characters to use when they play the full game.
In the demo, players will embark on a journey that begins partway through Chapter 1, starting at Rime Falls and continuing into different areas, including the Fallow Steppe and Rhata Harbor. Those up for the challenge can also take on the chapter’s final boss, the Kraken. Players can join up with three party members, Val, Careena and Morley, and experiment with the Wind and Moon classes to enhance their demo experience.
Rick and Morty Complete Seasons 1-7 Arrives Next Month
The latest Rick and Morty boxset brings together all seven seasons, with deleted scenes and more bonus features. The DVD set (sorry, no Blu-ray for some reason) hits shelves on September 10th.

Civilization VII Gameplay Showcase Announced
2K has announced fans of Sid Meier’s Civilization franchise will get a deep dive into the gameplay later this month. On August 20th, they’ll host a Gameplay Showcase for Civilization VII, following the game’s appearance during Gamescom Opening Night Live. Here’s the statement issued from Firaxis:
Civilization is a game that is as wide as it is deep, covering the span of human history as you build your empire piece by piece in the attempt to stand the test of time. We know many of you love getting into the details, and we do too – that’s why we’re going all-out for the gameplay reveal coming later this month.

First Images, and Premier Date, for Star Wars: Skeleton Crew
Unexpectedly, People Magazine delivered our first official look at the next Star Wars live-action series, Skeleton Crew, earlier this week. Along with a handful of new images, we also have a premiere date! The new show will hit Disney+ starting December 3, 2024.
Hopefully this means we’ll be getting a trailer soon…like during next week’s D23 event.
Pokémon Mystery Dungeon hits Nintendo Switch Online This Month
The next Game Boy Advance game to join the Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack service is Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Red Rescue Team! The GBA game arrives on August 9th for subscribers.
Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Red Rescue Team – All of a sudden, you’ve found yourself in a new world, one where you’re now a Pokémon yourself and can speak and interact with other Pokémon. The adventure begins when you and your partner Pokémon set out on rescue missions in a world ravaged by natural disasters. But what is your true purpose and destiny in this Pokémon world? That’s the real mystery!
As the hero of this journey, you’ll begin the game by taking a personality quiz, with the results determining which Pokémon you will become out of several options, including Pikachu, Eevee, Charmander, Totodile and Chikorita – just to name a few. From there you’ll select your partner Pokémon before being whisked to a world full of Pokémon to befriend and dungeons to explore. Form your rescue team, take on mysterious changing dungeons and engage in strategic, turn-based battles in this game originally available on the Game Boy Advance system.
